looking for some opinions on autographs that you think will appreciate the most over the next 15-20 years.  Looking to have a small portion of my portfolio in autographs.  Thanks again for your thoughts

The correct answer is Autographs are a great hobby, not a great investment.

Just ask collectors of Mel Gibson and Kevin Spacey.

If you feel you must have autographs in your portfolio, stick with Major Historical figures ...George Washington, Babe Ruth, Lincoln, Monroe, and those long gone that can't hurt their own value by doing dumb-ass stuff.

Thanks Pete

Pete! Best post you’ve made.

I would differ only in that rock and roll has been a great investment, though for how long?

Will Millenials care who Kurt Cobain is in 30 years?

Probably- we still care who Jim Morrison is.

But overall, yeah, investing in people is risky.

Thanks xwiesy. I really think Armstrong is one of those that will continue to increase based on the historical aspect and limited number of sigs.

The weird thing is the molestation stuff doesn't seem to have quashed interest in Michael Jackson.

Can't believe this many people still talk about him on here, given what he most likely did.

i have thought about this too. I don't recall if this was ever proven or was false.  Butr one thing is certain:  Celebrities (not just MJ) always get a pass after a bit of time.  Witness mel gibson, , alec baldwin, etc

He most likely did nothing. Your statement reflects only ignorance. Take a closer look.

I agree B. Anderson

real truth does not come from national news stations... never has, never will

Uh...he did something.

+1.

How about Neil Armstrong

Oh dude can’t go wrong at the right price with Neil Armstrong.
