Roger Epperson Quick Opinion says fine, PSA says no.
According to the story, the Beatles were on the second leg of their ‘63 Autumn tour and played at The Futurist Theatre, Scarborough on 11th December. They stayed at the nearby Hylands Hotel, Filey, where the signatures were obtained by a fan and guest.
Opinions?
This is certainly not my area so I'll take a stab. The MCcartney and Lennon look a bit slow/odd.
It's not my area either but oddly enough, though the Lennon and McCartney look fine to me, unremarkable for tells, my sticking point is the Ringo.
I think the set is probably real. My first impression was no, but the more I look at it the more I'm convinced that it's genuine.
I’m struggling to see what PSA sees. Nothing is really sticking out as being a problem, and they appear to fit the time period.
The Harrison almost seems too perfect, but you think it’s okay?
I couldn’t say that’s it’s too perfect as compared to other Harrisons from the era.
I agree about the Harrison...but, I think they all look good. You can never try and guess the circumstances in which things were signed. Harrison may have been the first to sign (maybe on a flat surface, etc.) but overall, they all look genuine to me.
Roger's quick opinions are far more reliable than PSA's. IMHO.
Pencil signatures are tough. It looks like PSA may have gotten it right.
They are tough. What did you find?
