Just wondering if this has happened to any one.
Received a call from ebay yesterday questioning the authenticity of the autograph I've put up for auction.
He said that his "experts" thought it was not authentic and he was going to pull it.
I was a little suspicious that he was not who he said he was, but after a while he was able to prove he really was from ebay.
I explained the origin of the autograph and told him his experts are wrong.

But thanks to this website, I was able to show him your comments on it and he recognized one of the posters and said that was good enough for him.

So thank you to all that commented on my autograph.  You helped me tremendously and I really do apprecitate it.

I've dealt with ebay for years and never had a problem.  They've always been quite helpful.  This did throw me for a loop though, it was really upsetting to me being accused of listing a fake when I know I got this personally on one of the most memorable days of my life.
But what good would it do for ebay to pull authentic autographs?  They get their fees so what's the problem?  Why would they look for loop h***s?

I believe xpert is implying that there is competitor who also sells beatles autographs and has pull with ebay going around and flagging authentic listings to be removed so he/she can dominate the ebay market for beatles autographs.

Well that's not nice.   If someone is doing that you'd think someone at ebay would catch on to that.

bingo mike!

I love the Paul autograph. Thanks again. I still can't understand why it was removed from eBay. On the other hand, I noticed that your other obviously authentic Paul autograph was allowed to run its course. It seems pretty random to me.

it was a little tougher to identify as real in my opinion.

plus i had a buy it now or best offer and it sold in the first 24 hrs. of the auction, and they did not catch it in time. the paul i sold you also had a buy it now or best offer with 12 watchers and they new they had to act fast, and they did, only took them 3 hrs. to pull it. i might be a little paranoid but dealing in beatles autographs  exclusively, for the last 15 yrs., has made me this way.

Very interesting. I'm glad eBay went the extra mile to get it right.

Okay, now I think someone is trying to sabatoge (sp?) my listing.  the original listing had the zoom enabled when you moused over the photos.  Now you get nothing in the zoom and when I double click to open a new windowyou,  can't zoom there either.
Can someone please take a look at this and tell me if you're able to see everything?
Would appreciate it

it zooms for me

Great, thanks.  It's probably me.  Sorry about the panic.  I'll reboot and try again.

Sorry to read how you have been mucked around on ebay. Your autograph is great. And stands out as being one of the best listed. Hang in  there.
