Ebay Seller Ashtons..attic Mickey Mantle Autographed Baseball Forgery Ebay Seller COA Hollywood & Sports Memorabilia

Here's another typical ugly Mickey Mantle forgery on a baseball with a worthless COA from Hollywood & Sports Memorabilia.

I have yet to see any autograph with a COA from Hollywood & Sports Memorabilia that is authentic.

This hideous-looking Mickey Mantle forgery on a baseball is listed by Ebay seller Ashtons..attic.

The only people who buy and sell crap like this are the suckers and wannabe autograph collectors with ZERO knowledge.

These are the same people who infect our autograph hobby with their forgeries.

And, of course, Ebay continues, as they have for the past twenty years, to PROFIT from the sales of forgeries.

Here is that ugly Mickey Mantle forgery on a baseball listed by Ebay seller Ashtons..attic.

Ebay seller Ashtons..attic relisted their Mickey Mantle forgery without the COA.

It's still a forgery.

Do you have to be so nasty & demeaning regarding other peoples efforts?  Not everyone knows about everything and mainly, do not have Mickey Mantle sitting in their living room to ask him.  Suppose you did this certification and this was about you?  I'm sure there is a much kinder way to say things, not like this.

Kalynn, I believe I can say that Chris is just tired of seeing forgeries ruin this hobby. That "certification" is likely from a forgery outlet who knew exactly what they were selling to unknown customers, such as yourself. Chris posts these threads to counter the sale of forgeries and to call out known forgers, not to insult sellers who do not know what they have. The problem is many people have a "COA" and automatically think its real without any knowledge of the signature and then pawn off a forgery unknowingly, which looks to be happening here.

I just think is would be a nicer concept to contact the seller with your information rather than trying to destroy their reputation on this website.  Because there "are" innocent people out there; although I know many are not.

In considering this; would Chris or yourself, please go back to "my" listing and see how I have revised it.  I would appreciate your input, not in such a negative way, but to see the way I've worded it or could word it better.

Thank you for your quick reply.

Ms. Baker, the revising of your auction description is irrelevant; you're Mickey Mantle forgery is still an active auction.

Do you have documented proof this ball is a forgery ?

Do you have actual proof it's authentic? That COA means nothing. It offers an opinion only. Read it and it doesn't even say who's opinion it is. Your COA doesn't even explain how it was obtained. Gives 3 possible ways it might have been obtained.

Chris is pretty good with Mantle. I'd bet a fortune he is better than the crooks who fooled you with it.

How exactly does one obtain documented proof it is a forgery? Should Chris try and obtain a notarized statement from the forger admitting to forging the ball? That is just a stupid question you asked.

This right here is why you crappy EBAY sellers get called out.

I have a challenge for you, Ms. Baker, if you want "documented proof."

Submit your Mickey Mantle to PSA or JSA.

If PSA or JSA authenticates your Mantle, I will purchase your Mantle for $1,500.00 plus your authentication and shipping fees.

If PSA or JSA deems your Mantle "not authentic," you owe all of us an apology for listing a forgery.

How about it?

Kalynn,

I promise you, it's an obvious forgery to anyone who has studied real and fake Mickey Mantle autographs. And Hollywood and Sports Memorabilia is known to be a flagrant seller of forgeries. Please do the right thing for the eBay community and take the listing down. And don't post it on Craigslist. Get your money back if you can.

You revised it to say "Forgery for sale.....please somebody be stupid and buy it?"

If you didn't than you are still peddling junk. Can't be nice to EBAY sellers offering forgeries. For the 1 who might listen there are 100 you will be stupid about it. You sell forgeries you should be slammed. If you don't know if its a forgery that's your problem.

Keep up the good work Chris.

Why has my Reply been deleted ???

Again ...!   This post and your replies indicate that this is "Chris's" Opinion and "Rick's Opinion.  Not relevant!
