I just had six, count them six, items removed from eBay on authenticity issues. Including these two which were purchased from upstanding members here. I am not questioning our members but, with all the hoopla about the bay allowing mass forgeries, these removals do not make sense.

Wonder if I hit someone's nerve here? Life goes on but....what the ______ happened?

I agree with your assessment, James. The Jagger and, in my opinion, all of the Stones signatures are definitely authentic. That's what amazes me, who can see evidence to the contrary enough to warrant removal?

Also, my guarantee includes that I would pay the cost of a TPA if the item does not pass any of eBay's big three TPA services on top of the amount paid for the item. That goes well beyond what 99% of sellers guarantee.

I purchased a really nice, rare 1966 Macca signature from a member here after eBay removed it for authenticity concerns.

That's a thought. Actually, there was a Macca signature I owned with an Epperson COA that eBay removed a couple of years ago that I sold here as well. To a dealer no less.

I like the Stones piece a lot so I may just hang onto it for awhile. I had it priced high on eBay for that reason. Emotional attachment!

A few of you might remember a few years ago when Ebay removed two of my authentic autographs and suspended me for ten days.

Why?

In my opinion, because of what I do here.

One was a Derek Jeter "Topps Issued" autograph.

At least they didn't suspend me. Guess that takes me back to the initial entry. Did I rock the boat? Hope not but..... I'm an easy enough guy to get along with(I think).

Joe,

You may be misunderstanding their email. If eBay said they removed them due to "authenticity issues" it could be because they're authentic.

+1

:0). Like that one!!

bravo

woudnt wont screw up ebay with real stuff

How could this possibly happen? There are mass forgery sellers who are reported by numerous people and nothing ever happens to their listings. Never.

I hightly doubt it’s related to your activities here.

Do you have a nasty competitor with an inside track at eBay?

Not that I am aware of. No negative issues or even anyone questioning me about an item I've sold in the past or have listed currently. And, like I said earlier, the items removed were all on the lower end of the scale except one. And the items are not new or fresh.

It just appears someone decided they didn't like what they saw. I can't imagine that, out of nowhere, six different qualified people all turned me in on the same day.

Your guess is as good as mine. I'm quick to pull anything that is legitimately questioned for further review although I've not received any inquiries of that nature on any of the ones removed or still listed.

one possibility is now ebay and psa have a quick opinion if some one did that and it came back probably not real they could have sent it to ebay
