This is my first post on this board. I am well aware Mantle fakes flood the market. I read an older post from someone who supposedly worked on the inside of The Score Board, Inc. and said early Mantle autos were legit, but later ones were forged.

Mantle auto gurus, what do you think?

Thanks, Ben

Nope! Don't like it!

I'm sorry but that is a forgery.

typical mass produced forgery

One of the biggest scams on Ebay and other sites is the use of an old and edited/copied Scoreboard COA to sell forgeries.

The scammers do that because the majority of people who buy autographs, buy the cert and not the autograph.

What makes this scam easy is that even the original authentic items which carried the Score Board cert had nothing on the cert tying it to the specific item.  So very easy to copy.

Not only them, but Mounted Memories too.

And many use the same BS story of buying trailers full of Scoreboard inventory during a bankruptcy sale.

Thank you everyone for the input. I haven't purchased it and was just checking. Thanks for the learning curve!

Stay away from anything that looks even remotely close to this.

Ben,

Scoreboard never sold one Mantle forgery. Not one. There are untold thousands of forgeries being sold as being from them, however, with copies of their COAs, and others, as Chris said.
