Is this autograph from Patrick Stewart real? I bought it from Galaxycon. Swau/Beckett said it wasn’t real. JSA says it is.

I dont know enough about his autograph to say if its real or not,, but thought it may help to compare it his auto cards. Search eBay for "Patrick Stewart Auto" for more. While they are not in-person examples, they are verified by the card issuer and could be used to compare to what beckett uses as a potential template (just a theory).. I do see slight differences but have no clue if his style changed between signings and if both versions are legit

I have read that he stopped signing a while ago due to severe arthritis and there is pretty much no chance of getting him anymore. This info also needs to be verified. Lol sorry I couldn't be more help but thought id attempt to provide some kind if info to start the post off. Hopefully others more knowledgeable in Star Trek will respond

You purchased it from this GalaxyCon? https://galaxycon.com/

GalaxyCon is a first party service... they conduct private and show signings like Fanatics, OPIX, etc. They are not a third party authenticator who offers opinions on items signed elsewhere. So, if it came directly from them, it's authentic.

GalaxyCon offers JSA authentication as an add-on when you order something from a private signing.

I would have no worries about an item obtained through GalaxyCon.

I will say, the autograph is not the finest example and I can see why a TPA may have reservations. I do not have enough experience with recent Stewart signatures to know how his sig may have evolved. Were they aware it came from GalaxyCon?

I told them it was and showed them pictures of the sticker and coa and was told those can be faked. I did reach out to jsa and they looked at my pictures and said they thought it was.

You reached out to JSA and they said they thought it was what?

They said We are trying to figure out the other companies systems to be able to give you some information. The 2nd Image you sent, of the actual item you have in your possession has been reviewed by our authenticators and we stand by the deemed opinion and certification.

Pictures will only appear on the JSA website for items that have full letters of authenticity. "Card COAs" like yours will never have an image on the lookup tool.

To be honest, I believe you are way overthinking and stressing over this. GalaxyCon is a reputable and well-established company that conducts public and private signings. The only autographs they offer are from those signings. The autograph is good. It's not some elaborate scam with fake JSA stickers.

I purchased a personal check that had basic JSA authentication and reached out to them about creating a full LOA. They trusted me to take pictures of the item, I did not have to ship it to them. I payed something like $20 and they sent the LOA a few weeks later. Unless they have changed since then, it still might be possible for them to add a picture to their database.

Agree with you that I wouldn't worry too much about items from  GalaxyCon

Could I get a LOA if I took it to a convention? Or am I better off trying to contact them?

I just had a quick look.. on their fee page, an LOA upgrade is $25. Its probably best to contact them and make sure but I would think they should be able to do it in person at conventions as well. Since the item is already authenticated by them, it should make their job much easier

I just reread everything. Probably got confused.. JSA was only a quick opinion? If so, you have to take a it in or ship it. Sorry if any confusion. I thought you had jsa actually authenticate this. Theres always a chance they will still fail it

Thank you!
