Hello,
Just signed up to this forum to hope to have some opinions on these autographs I have just inherited.
I have sent them off to numinous auctions houses in the U.k and america to hopefully sell there but thought I would ask for your thoughts too.
They are stuck down and have film over them, I'm guessing my grandad did this to prevent them fading if they were on show.
They are :
- George Harrison
- John Lennon & Paul McCartney
- Group of The Beatles.
Look forward to your opinions on them and would any one recommenced a auction house to sell them through ? as I have no use for them.
Many thanks once again,
Nathan.

Nathan I've added a link above for others to find that discussion. Hopefully this helps. :)

Thanks for that Wascher, I didn't know which was the best way to sort that out, had to spilt it over two because of the Pictures.
Thanks again.
How long have the autograghs been stuck and covered in plastic ?
At a guess I would have to say for many many years, I couldn't say exact as I dont know when he got them to be honest, as I've been going through his collection most are done in the same way.
The only reason I can think of, is to try and prevent them from fading because he did like to have his collection on show around the house.
Thank you very much for your opinions on the autographs I uploaded yesterday. I've been today to a local autograph collector who dealt with my grandad a lot, his told me that the George Harrison, John Lennon & Paul McCartney are fine and had no problems with them what so ever. (again, in his opinion)
But .... He did comment that he wasn't too sure about the Beatles one all together in pencil, he said that he was doubtful about that certain one.
I've rang up a few auctions houses in the U.K today and they would be greatful for them to be placed in there auctions, which I was very pleased with but the only problem there is that they is no auction soon coming up.
I know I probably shouldn't but I'm going to place them on Ebay tonight for 10 days and if no bids they will have to be placed in the auction. (Only problem being I don't really know what price I should be listing them at)
Once again I want to thank you for your comments and I look forward to having more discussions later.
Thanks,
Nathan.
Nathan,
I'd send the image of the pencil set to Tracks at least. They'll probably be able to tell you if they're good or not right away.
I have watched these 2 discussions with interest. From the start members have been advising and basically authenticating the autographs in question. I believe that these autographs are genuine. GENUINE copies of the originals. Why do I say this.
Firstly - the old "I inherited these autographs" line. Secondly - what autograph collector would glue andvthen stick plastic over their treasured Beatles autographs. Thirdly - The cut out photos look far to fresh. Forthly- After all of your advice He is listing them on Ebay. After all you have all authenticated them.
And finally check out the attached photo. Yes the pencil set as they were presented in in September 2008. This set was signed at the Royal Albert Hall on the 18 February 1965. On a celebrity guest list. No folds or wringles in 2008.
Thank you for you opinion Spaceman.
Firstly I would like to say that, how else can I say how I got these autographs ?? I have been left a collection by my grandad, which I am currently going through and selling because I have no use for them, if you want I can send you links to the busby babes I have been selling of my granddad's through Mullocks auctions here in the U.k ? and Tommy Taylor's personal belongings through Christies ?
Going on the The Beatles autographs, I'm ringing Tracks up this morning and hoping to go on this afternoon to get a answer about these autographs. Then once I do I will inform on here what has happened. I also got informed by people from here not to list on Ebay because that's the wrong way to go but I didn't really know because like I've said before I don't deal in autographs, hence why I signed up to this website for advice and help and I'm grateful for everybody's help so far.
Spaceman,
I posted your image of the pencil set. Could you please tell us where you got the image of the pencil set from? Send a link if you have it. Thanks
Thanks for posting the pencil set Steve. I use a UK site that has since been put up for sale. www.beatlesautographs.co.uk
The guy that set this up is totally dedicated to insuring that the genuine Beatles autographs get listed by where they were given etc. He also exposes dodgy auction houses etc.
