Added this Eric Clapton thru a trade.

WOW!

Cool piece! A nice, full signature.

Are you aware that it’s an overprint?

yes.

I don't want to dampen collecting enthusiasm, but does overprint mean a signed blank sheet in which the sheet music graphics were later added?   The PSA sticker describes it as "sheet music".

That’s correct. This one is described as a “Print.”

"Print" would seem to be the more accurate description.

If "we" can't tell what would a nove think that means? This is slippery territory.

How are you Eddy? :-)

Sorry - I meant "novice" not "nove"...

I'm doing well, thanks.

This is an interesting topic to me.  I first encountered this practice with U.S. Presidential material (like those Trump pieces).

I've noticed that PSA usually gives some hint that the item is not as it appears, such as using the words "cut", "sheet", or in this case "print".

The Clapton here is listed as "sheet music".  Just out of curiosity, how can you tell it's printed over the signature?

In any case, Beckett seems to use descriptions that represent what the item pretends to be, such as Bill Gates business cards or letters created from signed book pages.

I wish the industry/hobby would agree on - and consistently use - a term for these fantasies/concoctions.
