Ah yes, I see what you meant now Rich. Man, you think after the Dylan debacle (to name one) these artists that offer and sell their "autographed" merch, would actually provide their real bloody autograph on said merch! Hope 2025 is good to you Rich. Best, Jimmy

Lots thanks to this site and external hunts.  Really appreciate this site and everyone here.  A really nice community.

Here's everything from 2024, I think...

Green Day

Saxon

Sepultura (Andreas and Derrick)

Bruce Dickinson

Tony Iommi

Glenn Danzig

Uriah Heep

Brian Tatler

Diamond Head

Metallica

Deep Purple

Slash

Nick Lowe

Billy Bremner

David Coverdale

Obituary

Rob Halford/Glenn Tipton/KK Downing/Ian Hill

Rob Halford/Glenn Tipton/Ritchie Faulkner/Scott Travis

Misses: Would have been nice to grab a Wicked CD for my daughter.  The Judas Priest signings earlier in the year were kind of a debacle. Can't think of much that was a clean miss. Had plenty of chances on The Offspring but ultimately passed.

That's an impressive GETS list  Wallet Boy !

Thanks Jimmy!

Hey Jimmy James! Glad to see you're still around. Good job taking a step back with purchases. I tried for a while but fell back in to old habits. This year seems to be lacking in big names compared to previous years, still a great year overall though and I still scored some great items. I've been focused more on hunting down hidden gems on ebay to fill out my collection but here is a list of items I bought solely based off of this community. Looking at them all written down now, this year really wasn't as bad as it seemed.

Josh Gad
Keanu Reeves
Bill and Hillary Clinton
Michelle Obama
Donald Trump
Gwen Stefani
Danny Carey
Nick Mason
William Shatner
Chris Pine
Judas Priest
Green Day

Keenan Thompson
Kate McKinnon
Jennifer Aniston
Kevin Costner

Edit: forgot Deep Purple on a canvas

Mark Hoppus on preorder

I regret missing out on Eminem and Eddie Vedder but they were so pricy anyways. Still, I probably would have pulled the trigger if I saw them when they were in stock. Oh and missed out on Bill Gates as well but hoping he will come back in stock. Im also sad the Carly Simon vinyl was canceled and never happened

Hey  Jason H , that is an AMAZING list of GETS!

Man, I'd like to see your complete collection someday.

I hope you and your family are doing well.

Best over the Holiday, Jimmy

I feel the same about yours. As much as I've collected over the years, I don't normally display my autographs. Ive given a lot of books away as Xmas or birthday presents and have tried to only buy things that fit in binders stored in a closet, organized and easily available to pull out and look at. I do have a ton of cool stuff but luckily still plenty of room to add to it before the closet is full. I do have some framed horror and Xmas items that come out for the holidays though

We built a gym / music room recently and I would love to fill the walls with signed memorabilia for decoration. Maybe I should talk to you for some tips.

Happy holidays to you and your family as well. I always look forward to these recap posts at the end of the year. Thanks for starting it off again

Hey Jason H  in the New Year, I'll DM you a picture of my personal Hard Rock Cafe  style Autograph room :)

It has been another strong year for vintage music memorabilia, but no real showstoppers in terms of autographs.  (Signed stuff represents a small percentage of my collection overall.)

Anyway, here are my acquisitions, so far, in 2024:

Rod Stewart and Jools Holland

The Jesus and Mary Chain
Melanie C [Spice Girls]
Salman Rushdie
Pet Shop Boys
Lenny Kravitz (x2)
Earl Slick
Crowded House (x2)
Richard Thompson
Brian Molko [Placebo] (personalised)
Moe Tucker [The Velvet Underground]
Thea Gilmore
Pedro Almodóvar
Alison Moyet
Richard Ayoade (x4, one IP)
Bob Wooler [Cavern Club]
Bryan Ferry
Tears for Fears
Mackenzie Crook
Michael Caine
David Attenborough
Gwen Stefani

Hi  Stepeanut, that's an impressive list of GETS for 2024, I'm excited to see what 2025 will bring.

Thanks for your kind words, Jimmy.

Yes, it’s always a work in progress.

Yooo Jimmy, nice to see you posting here :)

This year wasn't as crazy for me in terms of autographs as previous years. I've been going to way more concerts this year, so I've scored much more music and concert memorabilia this year compared to previous years (I'm talking about used setlists, band guitar picks, special passes, concert posterss etc.), so I bought less autographs online.

Still, I got some awesome items this year. Here are my top 20 items, in no particular order:

Extreme - Six autographed CD insert
James Hetfield slipcase edition book
Green Day - Saviors autographed CD
Limp Bizkit signed CD by Fred Durst
Bruce Dickinson (x3 times)
Walkways (alternative/nu-metal band from my area that also performed at Wacken this year)
Mick Mars
Phil Anselmo of Pantera
Judas Priest 2LP with signed insert by the current five members of the band
Hollywood Undead
KISStory autographed book by Gene, Paul, Bruce and Eric
Def Leppard - Definitely autographed edition
Trivium (2 CDs that I found at a record store)
Machine Head / Robb Flynn (2 CDs that I found at the same record store)
Michale Graves (Misfits former vocalist, signed in-person)
Electric Callboy
ERRA
Wage War
Emily Armstrong of Linkin Park (signed Dead Sara photograph)
A7X - Brooks Wackerman signed posters and stage-used signed drumhead

Misses:
Jerry Cantrell (which I'll probably get from eBay soon)
As I Lay Dying (lol at the whole band quitting so fast)

Not many others I can think about...
