MICKEY MANTLE AUTHENTIC EXEMPLARS... READ ALL ABOUT IT!

I just wanted to post these here to see what Fudd the Lowly Mantle Collector can do to help stop the flood of forgeries into the market place. The goal is that we can all start educating ourselves before we buy. To see what a beautiful signature the Mick had, and to learn to distinguish it from the obvious forgeries at first glance. Something TTA, STAT, DREW MAX, GAI GLOBAL (Baker certs) My Favorite Players Reborn (Tony Podsada) & Christopher Morales can't seem to do....at all? You will almost never see a signature in this photo album collection that would match or come close to anything that has been certed by any of those guys. Maybe you'll find 1 in a 1000 if you're lucky. To tell the difference between what an original hand signed Photo by the Mick looks like vs. an obvious Fake at first glance is easy. Give it a try. It's Fun!

As has been told many times, The Mick made more in one signing than his dad did in 1 year. He felt obligated to his fans to give them a "work of art". He did this by signing on just the right spot for the particular photograph he was presented. The size of his signature was determined by how big the sweet spot was. He knew EXACTLY how to fit his signature in so it looked perfect. A thing of beauty really. Please note that these are not all the same signature over and over, but merely a sample from my collection. What I do know is that these are consistent with the WAY Mantle signed and structured his Autograph as we know it. Good luck! FUDD

Are ANY of those real ? Obviously the first Ted Williams isn't for the price they want.

they all look good to me.  I believe the reason the first one is priced like it is, would be because it is not authenticated, the ball looks a little spotty (from age) and the signature is in blue sharpie, which tends to fade.  But the signature, in my opinion, is real.

Oh wow, really ?? That shocks me.

This here is simply awful:

@Chris:

PAAS OK'd that? Unbelievable. Frost knows Mantle—he had signings with him. That cap is the same trash Morales, AAU/Drew Max and TTA authenticate. Frost must work for the same supplier.

I'd like to know why he certed that.

They say everyone has their price, Chris. Looks like Frost's is about $10.

Good one, Mr. Zipper.

I hoped we were above making fun of people for the way they looked. In any case, Mike Frost appears to consider it slander and is threatening to sue. I've invited him to join the site, under his own name, and weigh in, but in case he chooses not to do so, I'm posting his emails so you're aware of his concerns:

Mr. Steve Cyrkin,

Once again I have been informed that you have been using my name and likeness on your  autograph website.

I will for the 6th time be asking you to please remove my name and all reference to Mike Frost,  and P.A.A.S. from your website and blogs.  This acts of slander are hurting myself both financially and physically.  I have asked you to please remove my image and the P.A.A.S. logo and certificate from your website.

Thank you for your cooperation .

Michael Frost

P.A.A.S.

At first I thought it was an email Mike sent on October 15 that I just received, since he dated it 10/15/2011. But while I never received one with that date, I received this email when I asked:

From: SPECIALAGENT711@aol.com [mailto:SPECIALAGENT711@aol.com]

I have simply sent you another copy of a past e-mail to document that after 6 appeals you continue to use my image and company name on your website blog in an attempt to harm my name and my business.

This e-mail ,along with all records will be presented to the courts and the authorities at the proper time.

Please remove the lasted post and photos of the P.A.A.S. logo dated 12/15/2011.

Thank you

Michael Frost

P.A.A.S.

I'm not going to remove these comments, images or anything about Mike Frost or PAAS on this site, because I think we've done nothing wrong. However, if you want any of your comments about them removed or edited, please either do so, or ask me to remove or edit them and I will.

But Mike's email did make a point with me. Chris, if you're going to call that PAAS-authenticated Mickey Mantle cap "simply awful" (and I agree with your assessment), why don't you show why so Mike can come here and argue his case, or learn how to authenticate better.

Just a thought.

You have got to be kidding me.

The picture (easily found in multiple sites across the Internet) is what he uses himself to demonstrate "how close" he was to Mickey Mantle and what an expert he is.

I was not aware the posting of his photo was an issue in the past, so as not to inflame an old issue, I will delete the photo. However, I will categorically state that it is not slander and threats of lawsuits are absurd.

Regarding the posting of the ebay auction with his COA... the fact that he wants images of his own work product taken down speaks for itself.
