Do these forgers really look at something like this after spending the afternoon scribbling on their reprinted 50 cent photos and think ".......excellent."?!

LOL I'm sorry but this one had me laughing. I like to guess what they would use as an excuse for it's state. Perhaps Freddie signed it with his toes. He was VERY talented, after all. He could've been too busy playing the piano at the time to use his hands to sign. Or maybe he was drunk and riding side saddle on a lame horse at the time. It's dedicated to Steph after all. That totally makes it more believable. And the photo! Brilliant. Nobody knows you can type in "Freddie Mercury photo" and buy the same print for less than a dollar a piece on the same site they found this fake on.

This almost beats out the fella that used crayons to forge Freddie last year. Almost.

I ”love” that he writes this under the headline of the listing:

”Item would be priced higher but it does not come with a COA”

Scumbag!! The sad thing is that it will probably sell anyway...

What do you say about this one Innuendo? Signed in 1991 (wow, that’s rare) and comes with a ”proof picture” that I guess is supposed to convince the buyer of it’s authencity! I think it sold on eBay for $70...

Must be a contender!?!?

I like how the graph is in blue pen and the proof photo is Freddie holding a red sharpie. Nice. It's also a pretty well known Freddie photo. They really did just....Google "Freddie Mercury signing autographs" and tried that.

Now...sadly there are some good forgers out there, and that presents a challenge.  However, obviously neither of these two fit in the “talented forger” category.

But it never ceases to amaze me the pure crap that these guys put out there thinking...as you say, Innuendo, this is some good sh*t, man!  And yet, sadly somehow they seem to find suckers who buy this stuff.

And in the one you present, Cogo, as you say...it sold for around $70.  I mean even though the buyer didn’t lose a large amount, what’s the point in wasting even $70 on a gamble that somehow you got the deal of a lifetime?!

I think it is fair to loos 70$ on that s*** with that proof picture. Damnit even if you know s*** about Queen and Mercury google for pix of him in 1991 and you will see that he doesn't look quiet as healthy as on the picture. So if these guys scam out 70$ of a idiot I can't blame then.

Hi Innuendo  - it really is pathetic and would be laughable if it wasn't happening on such a large scale. On a different level though is the idiot who is trying to sell this on that highly dodgy memorabilia site rareandsigned.com for (wait for it) £1775.

Its meant to be signed by David Bowie (hahaha).

Yikes! And I thought Freddie had some bad fakes. I wouldn't buy a Bowie without running it by you and Erick. This hobby owes a great deal to it's dedicated collectors.
