1967 Yardbirds cut with Jimmy dead center

Not new but recently rediscovered...

Here is a fun one from musician Pete Townshend.

About twenty years ago I wrote to him about his decision to deny Michael Moore the use of a Who song in one of his movies. I was living overseas when I wrote to him so he probably thought I was a Brit, hence the playful little dig at Americans.

(Name edited out).

Lauren Bacall:

I'm still looking for that one to join the copies of "Now" I found -- haven't caught it in the wild yet. Always was a fantastic signer.

Yeah, she had a lovely signature.

I bought this book from a U.K. charity shop.  (I know you’re a keen charity shopper also.)

You know me too well, lol. Slowed my roll on pickups recently, but I'll be back at it soon enough. Lots of interesting reading here in the interim.

Got this in a trade yesterday

Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, and others — Newport Folk Festival 1963, Saturday morning Ballads workshop, Porch No. 1, Newport Casino, Newport, RI, previously undocumented original ticket, signed by Joan Baez to the rear:

A Baez signature on a 1963 Dylan ticket is nothing to be sniffed at, but that is not where the real value lies here.  The ticket itself is extremely rare.  So much so that I could not find another clear example online to compare it to.  So, this is new information to the Dylan collecting community.  One of the earliest Dylan tickets extant today; a museum-quality find.

What I did manage to find were a number of photographs, taken during that 27 July morning workshop, which show several audience members either wearing or holding examples of this same ticket:

Nice bit of history right there, pretty cool relic I enjoyed reading the back story :)

Thanks for sharing!

This ticket stub is very rare. The first I ever seen!!!!

Superb Steve! Such a rare ticket! Congratulations!!! :-)
