Just letting people know, it seems likely that Paul Simonon has signed his latest release using an autopen. He has connections with Damon Albarn and this worries me about this Blur release especially since it is still not sold out. Here is the link to the Paul Simonon post

the ? is why would a band like blur do autopen and risk there reputation they have signed a lot over the years and when Damon did solo album these where signed by him.
maybe they are signing a lot to meet demand .

There are a lot of ways answer to that question. why does anyone use an autopen. Why did Dolly Parton? she is rich enough that she doesn't have to sell any "signed" items at all, yet it happened and they were autopen.
Damon is a tough signature and as was stated before, his last solo album had a limited release of signed postcards. Some postcards were signed with only a D X like he just wanted to get it over with already and there was only around 135 available. I created that post about a year and a half ago, ill link below.. If he had problems with signing that limited amount, this current release has to be in the thousands by now and growing. Hopefully everything turns out ok, but to me, this just does not look good at all. I think it would be best to email and start asking questions before the release. let them know we are aware its a possibility. If enough people complain now, if these suspicions are true, it may be possible they will hurry up and rectify the situation before these ship

Why would it not be real? I am glad they are signing a lot. A true feast for a fan and less money for the flippers. They are probably signing all those in the pre-order rather than limiting to 500.
