This item is currently on eBay. The signature was cut from a photo that Neil signed on John’s behalf. As you can see, Beckett has somehow authenticated it as a genuine John Lennon signature.

You figured that they would be familiar with Aspinall's work...but alas...
For sure. I added it to the authenticated Aspinalls discussion…

Beckett, JSA, and PSA are the only COAs generally regarded as trustworthy by the majority of autograph collectors. Stay away from anything else. Not in this case.
This is comical and sad - and infuriating.
You can’t even email them to make them aware of the mistake. The emails are ignored.
Authenticators who pitch their credentials as high as Beckette does. Should own their mistakes not ignore them.
Don't know if anything will or can be done but I sent Steve Grad a msg about this fake. I know he no longer works for Beckett and now has his own enterprise going. We'll see if he responds with anything.
Thank you, Steve. I wasn’t aware of that. I hope you hear back from him considering that the seller is asking $3,500 OBO.
Are you sure Steve Grad left Beckett? From their website:
Grad got his start collecting autographs over 25 years ago, acquiring more than 100,000 in-person autographs. He took his passion and knowledge of autographs and turned it into a successful business. Formerly working for a leading authentication company, Grad built their autograph authentication business during a 15-year tenure before moving to Beckett in 2016 to spearhead the launch of Beckett Authentication Services
A renowned expert in his field, Grad has authenticated many of the finest pieces in the sports collectible hobby including the Laws of Baseball, the highest-graded Babe Ruth single-signed baseball, the only known Joe Jackson signed photograph and numerous other high-end pieces of American sports history.
I may be wrong about his leaving "Beckett" (can't remember where I saw that) but here's an article saying he left PSA/DNA.

He's been selling on his new ebay site Grad Collectibles:
