This seller has been mentioned previously, but now it is clear he is a liar and a fraud who is using a stolen scan and selling a copy as original.

The seller claims he obtained himself TTM in 1992, however, it is the same autograph featured on this blog: http://brainpile.wordpress.com/2009/07/15/one-small-step/

I contacted the owner of the blog and he verified he is not the seller and he still has the card in his possession. The blog owner will be removing the high res scan before more scammers can use it for their scummy ripoffs.

Shame on ebay seller mikeg521.

what is really wierd is that the one above is; This listing (180985797887) has been removed, or this item is not available.

if you look in the completed sold listings you find this one that sold on sept 18.

 

appears he got one thru 180973293449 and someone is out alot of $$ at the moment anyways.

Not sure, but the auction description states he obtained 3. Unfortunately, my sense is at least one poor sap got stuck with a preprinted clunker.

This isn't the first time I've seen someone sell that copy as original. I've actually seen it probably 15 times or more, and over 2 years ago I actually bought one by mistake (looking exactly like the one above) and didn't get my money back. It was printed on purple paper though. It goes to show how dumb these sellers are....if they will sell a copy as original, why does it always have to be the FIRST image that comes up when you google search "Neil Armstrong Autograph?" Lol..

I received a Neil Armstrong autograph for review yesterday. The moment I took it from the sleeve I was pretty sure it was going to be a problem because it was a "cut" on what appeared to be shiny photo paper -- the stuff you buy to print photos at home. Huge red flag.

Looking at it with the naked eye, I could see the signature was on the surface of the paper, but it had a very flat appearance with no streaks in the ink. Huge red flag #2. Under magnification you could see the signature was composed of "dots" rather than streaks of ink. So it was a high quality inkjet print. Quickly detected by the trained eye, but as part of a matted display or in poor lighting, it would be relatively deceptive.

Here is the "COA" that was stamped on the back of the item.

Obviously the folks at Authentic Autographs Guaranteed didn't bother to wonder how or why Neil Armstrong would be signing a "cut" on shiny photo paper.

Hi, do you have any experience of the autographs offered by the San Diego Air & Space museum? I've been offered a first day cover with the three astronauts signatures but I'm assuming it will be an auto pen signature?
