Hey guy, would really appreciate some help on this.  Local seller has a couple of posters apparently signed by cast and crew of a couple movies.  Here are the pics of the posters (they are not in hand yet so sorry for the picture quality).

The Indiana Jones one comes w/ a COA but from what I have seen this may be a disreputable certificate issuer.  Any thoughts would be helpful, thanks!

Star Wars:

1) David Prowse (top center, art)
2) Kenneth Colley (Admiral Piett) (top corner, art)
3) Carrie Fisher (by Leia)
4) Mark Hamill (by Luke)
5) Peter Mayhew (bottom corner, art)
6) Frank Oz (bottom corner, art)
7) Harrison Ford (bottom corner, credits)
8) Kenney Baker (bottom corner, art)
9) Jeremy Bulloch (bottom corner, credits)
10) George Lucas (bottom corner, credits right)
11) John Williams (bottom corner, credits left)

Seller states "The big names were all on there [when I bought the poster], mark hamill, Carrie fisher, Harrison ford, John Williams and George Lucas".  "The Kenny baker, David prowse, Jeremy Bulloch and Peter mayhew I got from Celebration 4 in 2007"

Both Garbage

A bit of a n00b here, could you be more specific? :/

In my opinion, the signatures on both posters are poor attempts that anyone with experience with these celebrities and their signatures can detect. You can tell the forgers looked at authentic examples when they created these forgeries, but they didn't do a very good job. Another red flag is the number of clear signatures on these pristine posters. Imagine how hard it would be to collect signatures for more than 20 years (e.g., Denholm Elliot died in 1992) on an oversized piece of paper without any damage, smeared signatures, overlapping signatures, etc.

Pete Chuka is the leading expert on these signatures. If some of them were signed in 2007, he will know. However, IMHO the "big name" signatures on the SW poster look to be forgeries.

Hard to see on mobile, the Jeremy Bulloch autograph on the Star Wars poster might be authentic, the rest however are not even close.

Here's a real one:

I'd call him a liar, and not a very good one, because aside from the fake Fisher, fake Lucas and Fake Fords ....even the Mayhew is fake.

While a couple of the signatures may be signed at conventions.....I still don't have a clue why Ken Colley would be on a SW poster.

Silver sharpies love them or hate them, they have a history.... seeing as they were introduced in 2004, unfortunately  Denholm died in 1992, it kind of makes this post pretty funny.

I really love stupid people.

Thanks for the input guys. I'm a novice at this kind of stuff, so I appreciate the education!

The Raiders poster is a sloppy mess done in the same hand.

Did Willie Mays sign that Star Wars poster?
