Michael Jackson drawings (Miscell inc. 'Historic portraits' and 'Disney characters')

I'm noticing a sudden influx of MJ signed Michael Jackson drawings coming on to the auction market, which seem to share the common themes of either 'portraits of historical figures' or 'Disney characters'.

Both of these themes are of course recognised from Michaels' drawings both at a young age and later in life, but it is interesting that so many new drawings are being released on to the market at the same time.

One of the most unusual 'MJ' signatures I have seen on a drawing, this time from Christiana Auctions of New Jersey, for their September '15 auction. Starts at $200, estim $400-600:

Another 'Prince of Cards' COA for an 'MJ drawing' has turned up on ebay uk this time (This type of COA for an MJ drawing was last seen on page 65 in this thread, from a seller in Lorraine, France).

The COA appears to be taped to the back of the drawing, which is on ordinary 'exercise' type ruled paper. Michael appears to have acquired the new surname 'Sketch' !!!

I've re-added the April 15 ebay drawing (from France) below, for ease of comparison. (It's dated '85)

The 'Prince of Cards' company was apparently sold by Mr Prince in 1998.

Adding a 'miscellaneous' drawing from rpat90 on ebay uk today. Apparently bought 'before 2009' and has a coa, which is not shown in the listing. Starting price 99p. That'll be 98p for the paper and 1p for the ink. :)

It's the season for 'head of a boy' portraits, this one from gar_gr2 of Greece with an appraisal doc. that mentions that the piece was given to Eric A Hale for a gallery exhibition he was organising at the Ethos Gallery in the UK. (Nope, me neither. but apparently there is an 'Ethos Gallery' Greek restaurant in NY!).

This offering is a bit 'off topic' as it's not a drawing, but a Mickey Mouse comic. The twist in the (mouse's) tale is that although it looks as if the comic is signed, all you actually get is an old comic and a signed plastic bag. But the autographed bag is apparently certified by Michael for MJJ productions and Epic, so that's all right then. :)
