Welcome to all the new members-tips for discussions

We've gotten quite a few new members in, so I thought I'd send in some helpful tips for discussions.

First and foremost, welcome to the forum!

Please use the forum area to post your discussions/questions (not the blog area). The blog area is reserved for articles of interest by the staff.

Please post the name of the person's autograph in the title of your discussion - not just vague titles like "Is this legit?"  Members here are usually only good at certain autographs. This helps your discussion get picked up by the right folks who can help answer you.

Please attach (or insert) large enough photos that clearly show the autograph(s) that you want to ask about or discuss. Small photos are essentially useless (for the most part), if the autograph cannot be clearly seen. Also if you are referencing an eBay sale and want people to go there, please post the link, as well as add a photo or two to your discussion from the eBay sale. eBay links expire in time (or are pulled down). Having the photos embedded or attached to the discussion gives education to others in the future should they look back on your discussion as a reference.

Please do not label something a forgery if your not sure. It can harm honest sellers if the item is found to be good. There is nothing wrong with questioning if something is legit, just be sure to carefully chose your words.

When your discussion has wrapped up, please do not remove the photos. They are referenced and looked back upon when people do searches. Many times the same autograph/photo shows up again, and its a big help to keep them in the discussions for education as well as future discussion.

I am just touching on a few things I've seen in the last few weeks. Steve  might add more, but hoping this helps some of the newer members to the forum :)  If anyone else wants to chime in as well, please do so.

Once again welcome to the forum!

And to the rest of the crew who fight hard day and night to expose the forgeries out there, good Job!   Keep up the good work!   We appreciate you!

Thank you for your great work, too, Wascher.

You guys make my job easy :)

Thanks for the tips and thank you to those who keep these forums up and running.  Good information and kind and helpful contributors - much appreciated.
