abba ttm christmas 2022

Automan, this is so lovely. Can you tell me the address to ask for an Abba autograph? Did you send the picture? If you sent the request to Sweden how did you manage to send an self stamped envelope from another country?

RACC Auction. RTS #126.
New York Dolls white sheet, autographed by David Johansen, Sylvain Sylvain (RIP), Brian Delaney, Sami Yaffa, and Steve Conte. Circa 2007

Steve Young, Peyton and Eli Manning were playing in a golf tournament I was at. I had a Manning photo, but nothing for Young, so I got a golf ball signed. They were all really nice and signed for everyone.

Thats awesome. I wrote to Manning way back when he was in college and got a cool full name autograph back. Gave it to my cousin because he was a huge fan. I should have told him to just write a letter himself. Thats awesome though. Im not a fan of golf balls being signed but its cool that you posted a known real example for others. Golf balls always look forged to me even when I know 100% they are real

It's the 3rd time I've gotten Peyton. He's a good signer. I've got about 50 signed golf balls in my collection, all from golfers except for Young. Most golfers even hate signing golf balls.

Victor Bockris and Gerard Malanga — Up-Tight: The Velvet Underground Story [Quill, 1985], first American edition, first impression softback, inscribed by both authors to fellow Warhol associate and longtime editor of Interview magazine, Bob Colacello:

Here, Gerard Malanga quotes Marcel Proust; a quote Gerard would return to many years later for the title of his autobiography.

I reached out to Gerard Malanga, to ask him about this inscription, as it seems more personal than something one might typically expect to receive at a book event. Unfortunately, Gerard cannot remember the recipient, so I cannot call this an association copy. Still, it remains a very nice book, with an unusually warm inscription.

Very nice piece -- looks like a passage written for a fan or close friend of the author(s).

Thanks.  That’s what I thought, which is why I wrote to Gerard, to ask.  But he doesn’t remember this as being inscribed for anyone significant, so likely just a lucky fan.  I bought this one from a U.K. charity shop, btw.

The Bob Colacello piece, on the other hand, is a significant association copy between three prominent Warhol Factory regulars.  Malanga and Colacello, in particular, were two of Warhol’s closest insiders, so this one is quite special.

The fact that both books arrived on the same day is one of life’s pleasing coincidences.

Picked this up today.  Very happy with this find.

Picked up this bargain from amazon for £4.51!
