eBay seller proplayersportsmarketing is selling a forged michael Jordan signature. It has a stamp on it from the FBI stating "FBI, forgery operation foulball"

Now get this - they are asking $150 and describe it as "a very nice michael Jordan forgery"

LOL I have now seen everything

Classic. What a dope.
I would think the FBI might take issue with their evidence being auctioned off.

I doubt it - the seller likely went to an FBI auction. Most evidence from federal closed cases is sold off. I just can't picture someone going to an FBI auction to by forgeries that are actually stamped "forgery," then trying to resell them for $150.

The whole point of the case was to seize and destroy forgeries, why would they then turn around and auction one off? Seems a bit counter productive to me, stamped or not it probably should be destroyed.

Steve is correct in his reply.  The hat would not have been stamped until the case was closed since it was evidence.  Once the case was closed, and no appeals pending, it would be stamped and put up for auction. I suspect because this was wearing apparel is why it was not destroyed.  Do not know for a fact but suspect most "paper" autograph forgeries are merely destroyed.  There are probably non-autograph law enforcement collectors that would like this hat.

Premium idiocy.  There's nothing legit about that.  Give him a cookie for being somewhat honest I guess, but it's a worthless hat that's not even suitable for wearing.

What's funny is he had this hat up months ago and didn't mention it was a forgery and I messaged and was like "are you serious it says it's fake right on it" lol. Glad he added not into the description but it still blows my mind
If memory serves, many of the Operation Bullpen fake balls and equipment were stamped and then donated to little leagues, etc. I suppose it's possible they did the same with apparel.

This is silly.

I've interacted with this guy in the past, and well, all it ended up being was him throwing insane low ball offers on some of my stuff. When I called him out on it and asked if he had serious interest, he acted like I accused him of murder.

I also don't like the fact that he is not entirely honest about items he flips.

He buys a piece like this with a noticeable scratch:

But then fails to make mention of it in his own listing:

Wow.  Great detective work Mike.

So eBay sends me a notice in my email: "3 people watched this HOT ITEM in the last week. Only one left in stock!" Yes, HOT indeed! I thought that was pretty funny.
