Thanks, Bob and Russ! I just can't help myself when I see a box for sale! I'll put a set together, and then take the duplicates and see if I can get an autograph. These guys love to reminisce about their college days and get so excited to hear from people who remember them.
I got a signed postcard from andrew lincoln from the walking dead series.
Great mailday yesterday, but not without disappointments.
First, I wrote to Si Robertson of Duck Dynasty. They sent back my stuff unsigned with a pre-print, catalog, and form letter stating why they can't sign. The bright side of this is that they didn't waste my sase. I also got a RTS for another address that I found for Perry Saturn. Guess I'll give up trying to get that guy ttm. The last disappointment came from Chris Pronger. Although he did sign 2 of the 3 cards that I sent, he didn't signed the one that I really wanted or return it! That's why you never send anything that you can't afford to lose. Other suuccesses came from Al Pedersen,Fernando Perez, Miguel Cairo, Dawn Wells, Don Beaupre, and Johnny Rutherford.
I got one RTS today from, former OSU track star, James Butler.
I got an autograph ttm from bobby plumb! The movie hoosiers was based on his winning shot from his 1950s high school championship game.
Nice returns, guys! It's been super quiet in my mailbox. Hoping all that'll change tomorrow and this weekend!
It has been quite my way as well jeffrey! I hope they pick up for everybody soon!
Finally got one! Today's mail brought me the autograph of R.B. (Brian) Atkins, former flanker for Auburn University from 1977-1980. Auburn was a triple option team back in those days, so R. B. only recorded 7 catches for 105 yards in his career. However, his legendary status was built as a tenacious downfield blocker who sprung Joe Cribbs and James Brooks for many of their historic long runs. Today, he is the proud owner of R.B. Atkins & Associates in Bessemer, AL.
