Elizabethan Auctions on LiveAuctioneers had a Rock auction on March 13. They offered genuine autographs to, in my opinion, blatant forgeries.
The genuine autograph include Beatles sets, a Rolling Stones album, Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, Bruce Springsteen and more. A lot of the genuine ones were not consigned by the owner, who likely had no idea they auctioned them. Many belong to Darren Spannaus, Sig21 on eBay, who was shocked when he found out. Another auction house, High End Memorabilia, owned by LuxeWest, have 673 lots of Darren's items in their auctions from March 21 to this Sunday, March 24.
We told LiveAuctioneers, asking them to remove Darren's items, but they didn't even respond to us. That speaks volumes about your safety using that platform.
Most of the forgeries look like they came from AutographsAuthenticationStore.com (the current name being used), aka MMPCollectibles.com, aka AutographCollectorsGuild.com. The owner is Brian Burkel, who you may remember from Autographs America and the Autograph Network back in about 2005 to 2012.
I can usually tell Burkel's forgeries a mile away. According to import/export records, he's bought tens of thousands of pounds of guitars from China over the years. I don't recall the Beatles, Hendrix, The Doors, Elvis, Janis Joplin, Led Zeppelin with John Bonham, or Queen with Freddy Mercury signing guitars in China, in large quantities or small, so something's rotten in Denmark. Well...Las Vegas, where he's located these days.
We need to identify any that are owned by owners. If you own any or know who owns some, ask them contact me and I'll help them, or you, remedy the situation.

Thanks for your help.

So is their plan to offer those items for sale by someone else at extremely high minimum bids -- then if someone is stupid enough to buy -- would they try to purchase them from the original owner? I recognize some of "their" items from eBay listings.
I don't know. High End Memorabilia sold several using another dealer's photos and they never bought them. They must have delivered forgeries.
