Hi, considering bidding on a Jack Nicholson shining autograph

Seller says it was bought at a charity auction. It looks very close to Jacks autograph but I'm a novice and would love you guys opinions and expertise.

Thanks

Atypical.  The baseline is off.

Agreed. The baseline is off on both of them.

I would like see more '75/'76 exemplars. I have seen, over 25 years, several, owned 2, one from an "old" collection in NY and one from Texas, of these -  signed boldly with the same pen and different fading, All original stills with the same style of signature. All I have heard so far is positive comments about this examples strength, beauty and a standing offer to buy it. I may have an old scan of the other one. I do not believe this is any secretarial.

Eric, the baseline on the green one is too even IMO. The ones in PSA Autograph Facts have the kind of baseline I look for.

Hmm. Are these secretarial styles? I took the style to be early-mid 70's.

I'm not familiar with secretarials.

What about the location of this "N"?

Which one?  I was comparing signatures with his first and last names situated side by side.

This is a nicely signed Nicholson that's a good example of his core characteristics:

If you did not obtain it in person, assume it is fake. If you did receive it in person, a certain percentage of the people you show it to will tell you it’s fake.
