Ordered today from fountain books who claimed to have stock and then a few hours later cancelled saying, this title is no longer available, why put for sale online in the first place, what is wrong with these places?

Not sure, it seems like a lot of the Independent Bookstores have this same issue of not having any inventory control system, and then they have to cancel multiple orders.

Definitely not arguing that, but if they get 25 from their distributor, and they keep 15, and put 10 up for purchase on their site. A lot of the times people will order, many more than 10, because their inventory tracking system on the web page isn't set up correctly, and still allows you to purchase for a long period of time, EX( Geddy Lee, Patrick Stewart), even though there is not enough available to cover the other orders.
