This was apparently $64.99 then $100 now $149. Still could be a decent deal for a signed vinyl cover

I've been against Premiere for a while now because of their tactics and agree with what you say, but for this vinyl and the Michael Richards book. It looks like they are working with JSA. This one states it will come with a JSA COA specifically. I feel this in itself would be worth a slightly inflated cost but $150 at retail is steep. Any retailer who jacks up the price to secondary market territory has to understand that we are buying their product blindly. We do not have the privilege to see what we are getting. There is still a gamble with purchases like this. What if these come signed black on black and premiere refuses returns? This is one of the many problems with buying from them. For this and many other reasons with their reputation over the last few years, tells me its just not worth $150 as a preorder being a regular autograph collector.

Honestly for me personally though, this is hard to pass. Im a huge fan and previously spent over $300 for a signed Head Above Water vinyl. But the signature is silver on black, perfect position and flawless. I was diagnosed with lyme disease when she was dealing with the same. That album is a huge motivation for me. If they are signed the way the preview looks, I would purchase this for $150. This item has good potential to be a special item for true fans.

That said, I absolutely hate that this is coming from premiere. As long as people keep buying. Their tactics will continue. Just an FYI, correct if im wrong but I believe they had 1000 to start. Sold 400 fairly quick but have only sold about 100 in the last 7 hours. Hopefully sales slow enough where these don't sell out before release day and feel forced to lower prices back down, but they only need to sell 30ish a day at this point. The only way its possible is if they have 4000 more which are not listed in stock yet and will be added later in batches. (Another one of their tactics)

They now list it as numbered out of 2000. So they didn't even sell a quarter of them before they jacked the prices up numerous times. Looks to be around 400 left now, but who knows how many of the 2k even got listed.

They mentioned on fb that they would have some sort of new system up at some point to give people early access and lock in the lower prices. But I'm guessing that will be some sort of paid subscription bs.

Email from Premiere says this and the Deryck Whibley book are “Premiere Collectibles Exclusives”

Does she know that they kept raising the price? As I mentioned before, I can't imagine too many people would be on board with that.

Agreed…it was one thing when they started reselling items they saw on here like any other reseller but now they’re getting exclusives at those prices? Great. I agree with Jason that I’d just buy on eBay and see what I’m getting, if everything at resell prices.

Also don’t understand why the Michael Richards came back at only $40 and stayed there, if they are doing the dynamic pricing thing…

I bet they sold more of these quickly at $65 than they anticipated and decided to just keep increasing the price until sales slowed down. Then decided to pretend it was a dynamic pricing model from the start. And now they are coming up with new ideas for this after the backlash they have been getting one fb, reddit, and here.

Their transparency shows us that this company is NOT "collectors themselves" as they have claimed. More like a teenager who came up on a bunch of valuable items and have no clue exactly what to do with them. This dynamic pricing is a terrible idea in the age of the internet, where every move is recorded and everyone communicates with eachother. Hopefully this gets back to Avril somehow and she releases a statement. Celebrities hate how resellers make a quick buck off their signatures on ebay, how is this any different? Its the same thing, just on a bigger stage. Premier is a reseller pretending to be a retailer

There is a huge difference from someone chasing and hounding someone for a signature (sending 30 letters to a home, using a kid to try and get signatures just to resell) and paying someone for a sit down signing.  The sit down signings the celebrities are getting their money and know the items will be resold.  I can guarantee Avril will not care as she knew these were going to be resold.

Haha say you are affiliated with premiere without actually stating it.. 30 letters to a home? Using a kid? Most resellers just buy online and resell.. keep trying though. Its entertaining. No regular collector would defend a company in this way.

Ps, has anyone seen how premiere changed the stock image to a full signature? So now, if we don't get that style, do we have a claim for a refund? I guarantee you won't be getting what is shown

Definitely not affiliated with premier just tired of seeing grown men whine.

yes those are the reasons celebrities get upset about resellers, not someone buying from a store or from a signing they got paid for.  You literally were complaining saying hope this gets back to Avril

Seriously, why would you even care about that?

"The sit down signings the celebrities are getting their money and know the items will be resold."

Is that what this was though? Because the private signings you see for athletes and actors don't really extend to the music business for the most part. While some artists may have an upcharge (often relatively small) for signed products on their website, virtually all in-store signings are a promotional effort.

Even entertaining that this was a paid private signing where Avril was handed some cash, where are the photos or videos from it? If Avril was paid for the effort, surely a rep would have been on site or at the least they'd be given some photographic evidence of it. It also doesn't explain how they went from a $30 upcharge to a $115 upcharge in a matter of days. Other businesses conducting private signings don't do that crap.
