Many movie and television stars appeared as guest stars (though never called that on the show) on TAGS.  Among the stars that were on the show were Buddy Ebsen, Charlie Ruggles, Edgar Buchanan, Everett Sloane, Alan Hale, Jr., Bob Denver, John Dehner, Jack Albertson, Leon Ames, and many others who appeared as "guest stars" on an episode of TAGS.  Elsewhere I think in the comment section I have my Jack Nicholson autograph.  I am not including him here because he was in two episodes.

Awesome, Scott!!!

Scott, I just read through your entire thread.

What a great read!!!! Thank you.

Thank you very much Christopher I appreciate that a lot.  I mainly do it for my own enjoyment, but am always glad if others get something out of it also.

I definitely enjoyed it, Scott.  Fantastic read!!!

I love all of the aforementioned actors.

STUART "STU" ERWIN (1903-1967) had his own television show from 1950-1955.  AMong his best known movies were Our Town, Palooka, Drums of the Congo and the Randolph Scott western When the Dalton's Rode.  He played Tom Silby in the episode "Opie's Charity."

This is from a signed contract:

Stuart Erwin also signed his name "Stu" a lot.  This is from his appearance on The Andy Griffith Show in the episode "Opie's Charity."  He plays a man who left his wife and comes back after she already but a stone in the cemetery claiming he was dead!

MICHAEL POLLARD (1939-     ) is perhaps best known as C. W. Ross in the movie Bonnie and Clyde.  Pollard made an appearance in the original Star Trek episode "Miri" in 1966.  He also appeared in Lost in Space, The Lucy Show as "Ted Mooney" and Gunsmoke.  Pollard played Barney Fife's "Cousin Virgil" in a TAGS episode of the same name.  The first is from a Rittenhouse Star Trek card the second is from a TTM index card:

Don't forgot Pollard's role in "Bonnie & Clyde."

He was awesome!!!

Thanks Christopher you are right again!  For some reason I am always forgetting movies that I love.  Estelle Parsons was my favorite in that.  Dub Taylor who also was on TAGS plays the father of Pollard in that movie!  I love when there are connections of TAGS performers in other movies and shows.

MICHAEL J. POLLARD (1939-2019) from the TAGS episode "Cousin Virgil."

PAMELYN FERDIN (1959-     ) was one of the younger stars to appear on TAGS.  She appeared on many televisions shows including: Bewitched, Green Acres, The Brady Bunch, Daniel Boone, Gunsmoke, and a recurring role in the last couple years of Lassie.  She also appeared as Edna on The Odd Couple.  She also appeared in an episode of the original Star Trek.  She shares a common bond with Clint Howard and myself since all of us were born when there were 49 states in the United States!   This is from a limited edition of less than 300 Rittenhouse Archives Star Trek 50th Anniversary cards.

WALTER BALDWIN (1889-1977) is best known for playing the father in The Best Years of Our Lives.  He also appeared in the Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz film The Long, Long Trailer.  Baldwin was one of several veteran actors who appeared in Rosemary's Baby where he sits next to Hope Summers.  Baldwin was also the first Floyd the Barber on The Andy Griffith Show it is said he was deemed a bit too old for the part and Howard McNear was cast.  Ironically Baldwin outlived the younger McNear.  This is an album page from Dr. Brucato's Classic Entertainment Autograph website where he signed as "Wally Baldwin."
