looks like a pre print

I'm new to this word "pre print" what does that mean? Other user says "Real but printed on" does that mean it's just a re print if he actually didn't sign it? Apologies if I sound like an idiot.

Basically he signed a photo, and then a photo of that signed photo was taken, and reproduced.  The signature is within the image.

In the modern era it can all be created with a photoshop type program, but in the old days it was usually done as described.

So basically someone put a copy of a authentic signature on an item? If that's so, now it makes sense.

Well, they photographed an autographed photo, and then that photo was reprinted.

This Is confusing me lol, wouldn't that still be a reprint? I thought you meant taking a picture of the signature and printing it on something.

Basically a preprint autographed photo is a reprint of the original photo of the autographed picture  (or an autograph superimposed on a photo).

real, but it's printed on, not signed

The photo is too small and blurry to determine if it was likely real if it wasn't a preprint. You need a large, sharp image.

It's a copy of a 1928 Fro-Joy promotional Babe Ruth photo with a replica autograph:

I'm not, it worked for a few days then it stopped.
