It's with great sadness that I see comedy legend Sid Caesar has passed away today at the age of 91! Like any fans of classic comedy Caesar would always bring a smile to your face. Dig out that copy of 'It's a Mad, Mad, Mad ,Mad World' or Mel Brooks 'Silent Movie' and remember the great man!

With todays announcement of this being Derek Jeter's final season I'd like to start a blog for people to reflect back on a great untarnished career.
In my opinion being a Yankees fan of not you have to respect Derek Jeter as a Hall of Fame Baseball player.
All the Best this year Derek as you make your final tour.. Maybe you can get one more ring before you go

I was a victim of a company called rockinmemories4u. I purchased items from them, ranging from albums to guitars. Only recently when I went to have them certified was I informed that they were fake signatures. I was so embarrassed and pissed. The items were purchased over a year ago. Now that I look at what they are selling I know now . How stupid I was, thinking I can get signed items from deceased musicians for such cheap prices. I bought a beatles signed album for 1,300.00 Please pass…

Interested in hearing about any gems that people may have picked up whilst scouring the shelves of second hand stores, thrift shops, markets etc. I picked up this Duff McKagan autobiography this week only discover it was signed for 4 Euro ($5) in my local second hand book shop (Sure it's dedicated, but I don't mind!). And a while back a Neil Gaiman - Anansi Boys 1st edition signed book that I discovered for 1 Euro ($1.35). They weren't advertised as signed, just stuck in with other books and…

You know how each year at the Oscars they show the guys that counted the ballots walking up the red carpet with the suitcases? I seem to recall a time when those suitcases were actually handcuffed to their wrists.
In movies we get the occasional scene with somebody carrying a suitcase that’s cuffed to their person…only to have the bad guy chop off their arm and carry…

We all know about the auto pen. If memory serves, I remember reading they were first used by politicians. Of course, anybody that goes for autographs in the mail has to worry about secretarial signatures. We know about the actors that have used them for long periods of time (Jack Lemmon and Clint Eastwood, to name a few).
When I was the sportscaster for a radio station, I ran into a number of athletes that told me great autograph stories. Sometimes when baseballs were handed over the…

Philip was always a great signer whenever I seen him and has been a part of some great movies. Never imagined he was on drugs. What a shock.

This morning I got up and drove into town today, you see I am in the outskirts of Phoenix so any card shows or signings in town are an easy 45min drive. This trip was sort of on impulse but I figured what the heck. Might as well go a head buy tickets and make the drive. Archie Bradley was chosen #7 in the 2011 MLB Draft by the Arizona Diamondbacks and is considered one of the top pitching prospects in all of baseball..This was also his first public signing appearance as well. The groups were…

The “love” part of my love/hate relationship with singer/songwriter/ Liz Phair is her music. She has amazing songs and I think her album “Exile in Guyville” is one of the best records ever made.
The “hate” part are the times I’ve tried to get her autograph.
The first time I ever attempted to get her autograph was a success. I was working in radio, and she was…

Well, for the third time in approximately six months, Ebay has removed one of my listings.
This happened today, January 25, 2014.
First, below is the message I received from Ebay.
After reviewing your eBay account, it appears that you have violated eBay's Trademark Violation - Unauthorized Item policy. As a result, we've taken the following actions…

It’s funny how when you live in a city with somebody famous, you take them for granted. For autograph collectors, you probably got their autograph at one point, but you see them at so many functions you lose interest.
Here in San Diego, there are many people that are huge all over the world, but I’m at many events with. Those would include sports Hall of Famers like…

I'm looking to attend a couple upcoming book signings at Bookends in Ridgewood, NJ. I know you can't get anything signed other then the book at the actual book signing itself but I was wondering if any of the featured signers will sign outside of the store prior to or after the book signing? I've got a Peyton Manning signed Super Bowl XLI game ball that I'd love to get Tony Dungy to sign on Feb. 4th. Does anyone have any first hand info on whether or not getting stuff signed outside of…

It just occurred to me that I don't believe I've posted this here yet, but Mark Baker, one of our forum members, is a major U2 fan who has met the band members on multiple occasions. This documentary is about him, and includes stories about his autograph endeavors among his other experiences as a fan, primarily on the 360 Tour.
