They have sold an Ali secretarial as being authentic and I just looked and saw this. I'm not a mantle guy but even this looks horrible to me

yes, it is definitely horrible

What do you think of his other items?

the 3x5's are all junk

That is beyond laughable. And it remarkably has 3 bids already?! The high bidder has completed almost 2400 transactions on eBay. Surely they would be more savvy than that.

And his Munson is up to $127 with 4+ days left. When they're so obviously forgeries, why do people want to throw their money away?

Laughable Mickey Mantle forgery listed by EBay seller Workatit.

And there are wannabe autograph autograph collectors bidding on it.

Check out the Bill Dickey forgery listed by Ebay seller Workatit.

The Thurman Munson forgery listed by Ebay seller Workatit is also laughable.

Bidding is up to $127.00 for this mess.

This is why sellers of forgeries list their crap on EBay.  They know the wannabe autograph collectors and suckers will buy their crap.

Ebay seller Workatit sold the below Thurman forgery for $785.00.

What idiot paid $785.00 for this garbage.

That is stunning. I can assure you that reputable dealers who have been in business for 25 years have not seen two Munson signed cards with such neat signatures and ultra rare inscriptions. Yet, this seller apparently has a regular supply. What are the odds a third one will appear after the second one sells?

OMG what idiots are bidding on this junk?! Snow white index cards with laughable forgeries on them. Wow.

It really is staggering when you do the math. Here someone was willing to fork over almost $800 for an obvious fake. But then add the hundreds -- or thousands? -- of mass produced fakes sold on eBay every single day.... Then add in all the ones through Craig's list, local auctions, antique shops, etc., etc....

Even if these cheesy fakes are selling for an average of $40 each, it has to add to at least tens of millions of dollars a year. Maybe more.
Christopher, this is hilarious. Did you notice what the seller listed in the original listing's description? Here is most of it:

"Thurman Munson authentic hand signed autographed postal card. I have been collecting since the late 70s and have decided to sell off a couple of high dollar hard to find baseball autographs to raise money to buy a few I don't have. I begged for years for these autographs that an avid US veteran and big collector had who lived in MA. Unfortunately the gentleman passed away and his nephews sold me a lot of his collection. The absolute only reason I would sell is because I have 2. The gentleman obtained a ton of stuff in person and through the mail and also on USO tour specials. This autograph is signed on a middle to late 80s postal card which displays the 6 cent stamp on the back. Excellent condition because he kept everything in closed boxes. Munson did inscribe 1976 AL MVP. Obviously this is one of his later autographs as he was killed in a plane crash in 1979.Guaranteed to pass any third party authenticator..."

Signed on a middle-to-late 80s postal card, huh? But then he even says Munson died in 1979 plane crash! Oh, what a tangled web we weave! This is probably why the original open-bid winner didn't want it and he had to re-list. He then changed the description to middle-to-late 70s! Unbelievable. Here is the original listing:
