Met Stuart Murdoch last night at his book reading for his wonderful new “auto-fiction”, Nobody’s Empire. In addition to signing my publisher’s advance proof as “Rod” Stuart Murdoch (a reference from the book of him using a Rod Stewart fan club card as ID to get into an early Galaxie 500 gig), he also signed my OG UK pressing of Tigermilk. A truly charming encounter.

I haven't been active with this hobby over the last few months but still occasionally hunt down cheap gems on ebay. Came across this 5x7 from Pee Wee's fan mail back in the 80s. I was worried it would be a preprint in this nice of condition. Just received today and it is live ink. Seller listed this for only $10 there are not many kids shows that are watchable in adulthood. Paul Reubens was genius. I already have an item signed "Paul Reubens" that should pair nicely with this one

Thought I'd share this one I found while searching for Jane Curtin events to complete my SNL season 1 signed vinyl. I got sidetracked hunting down what was available on the secondary market and came across this for $99 last month. Ive been spending so much lately that I had to pass on a few other great items recently but couldn't pass this up, also signed by Joeseph Gordon levitt who I have always wanted to add as well.. funny thing is, I still need to find Jane in person. Both are pretty tough signatures. Plus, who doesn't love 3rd Rock? Lol. Its another script I get to add of my favorite shows.

With all the conversation about secretarial, autopen, and downright forgeries, for me, there is nothing like the thrill of getting an in person autograph. Is there a separate thread for these? There should be.

Last night I got Jon and Hugo from Gang of Four at a book signing and Cheetah Chrome at a Dead Boys concert! What a night! Especially love that Cheetah used my ballpoint pen, for a nice clear sig.

Finally got a Townshend -- I don't recognize the publisher(bookstore?) label on the front cover, though. Doesn't track with anything Canadian that I know of. I'm guessing it came from a US or UK chain.

Hell of a life he's led. Truly one of the greats.
