Beckett Authenticated John Lennon Secretarial Signature In the Hand of Neil Aspinall

This item is currently on eBay. The signature was cut from a photo that Neil signed on John’s behalf. As you can see, Beckett has somehow authenticated it as a genuine John Lennon signature.

He has also been flogging items from his own collection at Iconic Auctions - or trying to.

That's embarrassing. The same Beckett that rejected (and charged me for) my authentic Houdini, which I later sold via RR. This industry makes you want to pull your hair out at times!

And there was that ridiculous Beckett James Gleason authenticated this month as "Jackie Gleason"...

There’s also the full set of Neil Aspinall secretarials on an LP that they somehow turned into a Macca signed LP. They recognized the other three signatures as being secretarial, but not the Macca. How does that happen?

Sold for $2,150.

Unfortunate.  Nothing like a severely cut proxy sig.

It really is, especially since they had plenty of time to recall it.

So does this now  set a precedent for good cut Aspinall signatures. I can here the scissors going as I write this.

Ugh. I guess so for John. They had already authenticated George and Ringo cut Aspinall signatures.
