NE Autographs: Autographed Posters at an amazing "low" price..............

http://www.neautograph.com/

I think we have talked about this company before, but not sure.  Been spending some time on the internet and on Ebay just seeing was is out there (new) and out there (still).  Seeing kinda what 2011 might have for us all by way of presigned items for sale, and all the many, many upcoming conventions (seems like another record year for in person convention style shows).

Anyways, came…

Robert Edwards Auctions/Rob Lifson thanks third party authenticators.

Note To Autograph Authenticators: Thanks!

Published by Robert Lifson on Tagged Uncategorized

REA would like to take the time to express a special thanks to all the authenticators who have contributed to uncovering often ingenious and complicated fraud, and in the process protecting consumers. It’s a thankless job and these guys are often literally on the firing lines of retribution by those whose interests they cross. It is a given that these same authenticators sometimes make… Continue

A Holiday Message From Steve Cyrkin

There's someone living near you with no money, no family...none that care, at least, who could really use a little kindness this holiday season. And for about $20 you can make them smile.

Only you can do it...because they're the forgotten. The forgotten elderly and infirm living in care facilities on government assistance.

If you don't remember them, no one…

J F Kennedy USS Autograph (need help)

I have hand written note signed by J F Kennedy USS. I have had this autograph for several years. It was given to me by a dear friend who has since passed away. This was one of her prize possesions and loved to recant how she met the senator at an accountants meeting and at the end of her conversation with the senator she asked the senator for his autograph. I have enjoyed owning this autograph, been honored to have this in my home. The time has come for someone else to enjoy it.

I am…

Idiot autograph vandal on the loose!

While perusing eBay listings today, I ran across the seller "patriotsfan10" who seems to have been a pretty regular customer at R&R and Heritage...and now they need to ban him!

This cretin has made a habit of buying complete historic letters of famous Americans and then cutting them to bits so he can sell one and two word segments on eBay!

Just look at a typical description:

Steiner

Based on the advice of most of the people I've asked, eBay seems to be the worst place to buy a Jeter. Steiner sells authentic ones but they're like $516, is it worth the money or is there anyplace that sells authentic autographs for a little bit cheaper?

Want to Buy a Famous Casket? Me Neither...

I understood when people bought sections of the parque floor the Boston Celtics played on. I've seen parts of the floor the Bruins played on, signed by John Wooden and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (side note: wonder if anyone asked the big fella to sign Lew Alcindor while he was Kareem. I know Ali would sometimes sign as Cassius Clay after the name change).

Anywhoooo....I just saw that the wooden coffin Lee Harvey Oswald was buried in will be auctioned. And the wackos at the auction…

A question about authenticators...

Here's a question bound to stir up some more controversy on this site. I suppose the best way to put my question forth is by way of example:

Dealer Joe Schmoe provides his time to PU Authenticators, a publicly held firm, by viewing historic artists' autographs on their behalf. His job is to determine whether an item is authentic or not. When he "passes" an item, the owner is charged a fee by PU and in turn receives a certificate signed by Schmoe. In exchange for his…

Are you sure you got what you paid for in framing?

Just last week I received a call from a local individual who was referred to me by another framer. This guy, who was effected by the downturn of the economy, called me to sell his presidential document collection.

He mentioned he bought the collection, over a period of time, from a historical autograph dealer. We discussed the collection in length and its components. The seller also mentioned that the items were framed museum quality by a…

R.I.P Leslie Nielsen

Ator Leslie Nielsen passed away today!

I met him this year at a convention , but could not interview him as his autograph line was so long! He did , however, allow me 3 minutes to sign a few items for me and snap a photo op!

He will be missed. He was a great guy and awesome actor.

SIGNED copies of "Character Kings" -- Save $10 on the Perfect Christmas Gift for Movie Lovers!

As regular readers of Autograph know, I'm the writer of the column "Character Actors," featuring some of the hardest-working men in Hollywood who are instantly recognizable but whose names usually elude us. They're often referred to as "that guy" (as in, "Hey... It's that guy!") but they are the backbone of the film and TV industry, providing solid support to the stars and keeping the story moving along.

My book, Character Kings: Hollywood's Familiar Faces Discuss…

Autograph lunacy

The unbelieveable postings of this crook continue to show up all over the internet. I am speaking of Popculturesignatures,a giant of giants in the business of selling perhaps some of the most ridiculous signed items ever seen. Now this king of fakes has made his home on Ioffer.com, netting over $2,000.00 from one buyer alone who believes in pure fantasy.

Ioffer of course refuses to even investigate a seller who brings them such a goldmine in profits, even if he is the…
