www.autographs247.co.uk

Just received bunch of signatures bought from the site, very impressed and fairly priced!  Sell from soccer autographs to celeb and TV stars. Decided to buy since they are members of prestigious AFTAL and offer lifetime guarantee.  Plan on sending out the items to PSA/Dna as well just for the reassurance.

How to display your treasured autographs ?

I have been collecting autographs now for almost 20 years. I am no where a expert but do not make the mistakes that I did before. This is a question for the experts and the more advanced serious collectors if you will. I am in the process of putting together a Civil War collection and would like to know what would be the best way to display these autos without fear of browning or fadeing as these are well over a 100 years old. Thanks in advance for the help

Linda McCartney Photography Books Available—Signed by Paul!

Taschen is selling limited edition books of Linda McCartney's photography that could be worth considering.

One is a limited edition of 750 copies, with the book numbered and signed by Paul, for $1,000.

The other is a limited art edition of 125 copies, with a 12x16 print numbered and signed by Paul McCartney, for $2,500. A previous art edition of 125 copies, with a similarly sized print signed by Paul, sold out quickly at the same price.

Since it may sound like a sales…

Fraser's 100 Index of Rare Autograph Prices: Do the Numbers Add Up?

Autograph Magazine Live! member Chris "Mak" was gloating on Facebook this morning about what a great investment his autographs have been:

"For all of you who think I am crazy for collecting memorabilia and autographs. They have the best return as of late, second only to gold!"…

Sonny Liston 'signed' ring bell on Pawn Stars

Did anyone catch the last episode of Pawn Stars?  The show featured a boxing ring bell signed by Sonny Liston.  The signature looked OK to me but Drew Max and his big magnifying glass deemed it a fake.  Did anyone see the episode and thoughts?

Panini and Upper Deck Cards

My local card shop has a bid board every week that has Panini and Upper deck signed cards of some really great sport people. Most times you can pick them up for cheap. They guarantee them to be authentic.  I was wondering if you sport collectors feel ok about them? Our local card shop owner has been paid to watch our NBA team sign them.

Sharon Stone Stuns Singapore Fans with her Rudeness

It was with some trepidation that I went for the “Up Close and Personal with Sharon Stone” stage interview, which was one of the highlights of the recent Singapore Sun Festival.  It was on a Saturday, that was one factor; tickets to the event also cost a whopping $160, that was another factor, (Ok, so I was invited, but still that's a lot of money) but the overriding one was my personal encounter with the aging screen vixen the previous day.

At her press conference, Stone…

Aretha Franklin has the R-E-S-P-E-C-T for her fans that Diana Ross doesn't!

Hi everyone,

Thanks for your comments about my Diana Ross post last week. I realized that what happened wasn't really as much of a reflection on Miss Ross as it was about her organization, from her security, to her PR firm, to her personal assistant. Maybe they just didn't inform her as well as they should have.

But I must say that last night made up for that. Aretha Franklin, who, sadly, is battling a brave fight with pancreatic cancer, was holding a huge…

Judge Throws Out Christopher Morales Expert Testimony—From Small Claims Court

Christopher Morales and the sellers who use him claim that as a "forensic document examiner," his "scientific methods" and exhaustive procedures have earned him "court-approval." They say this makes him far superior to any other kind of autograph authenticator.

Forensic document handwriting analysis generally requires at least 10-15 known handwriting samples, preferably from the time period of the writing being analyzed. The "scientific" part is primarily ink and paper analysis to try…

We've Been Sued by Christopher Morales

Last Wednesday I was directed to an article on Autograph Alert that, beyond saying the usual things they say about this site and me, seemingly "outed" one of our members whose comments they didn't like. At the end of the article, they wrote:

"By the time you read this story,

Cyrkin will have the first of a major rude awakening,

one he has invited and is well deserved."

The next…

BOOK SIGNINGS: Adding just one piece of memorabilia can be a win-win.

http://live.autographmagazine.com/profiles/blogs/celebrity-book-signings

This isn't the first time I have written about this subject, nor I am sure it will be the last.  However, someone PLEASE tell me the reason, other than to sell books and tell a story, does any celebrity write a book?  Having just written one myself, I can tell you that it is no easy process and my book is a very simple…

An Interview with Diana Ross-FAILED!

Hi everyone,

About a week ago, I was given some great news. Not only was I going to receive a complimentary media ticket to the Diana Ross concert tonight, but after the show, I was going to be given 10-15 minutes for an interview with Miss Ross, to be held backstage in her dressing room.

This was to all happen tonight-I had even arrived in the area of the theatre hours…
