In 2001 I was living in Ithaca, New York when the Strokes first came out with "Is this it". I immediately fell in love and joined the fan club via snail mail. They sent me this autographed poster and it has been on my wall ever since.

Not too long ago I had the opportunity to purchase a concert poster from the early 1980's. The thing that makes it cool is that it is signed by the organizer of the concert, a member of the local Hell's Angel's Chapter in California. The concert was a double bill with Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings in San Jose. The poster is signed by both of them twice, and signed by "Charlie Magoo Hell's Angels Oakland Chapter". Apparently the poster had been hanging in a biker bar since the 1980s…

The seller of this guitar never mentioned a word about the writing (autograph?) on it when posting it for sale on-line. He reduced the price because of it. This was not sold to make more money because of the signature. The seller seemed to be unaware as to who "Jim Morrison" may have been. The guitar itself was a FIRST YEAR ISSUE of C. F. Martin & Co.'s Sigma line. It was a comparatively expensive guitar in 1970. It is difficult to believe that a guitarist (most of us worship the…

I figured during this pandemic, I wouldn't be getting any autographs. But I got one I totally wasn't expecting.
A guy that I played racquetball with for 20 years, used to manage a movie theatre. He has a lot of interesting items from his days running it. One of them was an original Star Wars movie poster, when the film had a different title (I forgot…

COVID-19 may change our hobby forever.
We all know how difficult it is to procure the autographs of James Dean, Marilyn Monroe and Jim Morrison. The unfortunate reason for the difficulty is that their tragic deaths have prevented them from signing the number of autographs that they would have if they had lived for many years.
Consider our current situation. Comic conventions and social distancing are mutually exclusive. Anyone who has ever attended New York Comic Con can…

Immediately below are links to previous threads on forged/counterfeit Kobe Bryant "2000-01 Ovation" cards.
People are continuing to emotionally impulsive buy Kobe Bryant forgeries on Ebay.
I find all of this disgusting.

Over the past two years I have posted dozens of threads/blogs on Ebay sellers who list and sell so-called Steiner Sports autographs.
These scam sellers always have some type of hologram on the item but they never have the Steiner Sports COA.
This is a relatively easy scam because Ebay is so heavily-populated with delusional autograph collectors and impulse…

I’m not sure how auctions are going to be hurt by all this coronavirus stuff. I was thinking they might see a spike, while everyone is stuck at home, trying to find things to do. Nothing like bidding on autographed items while stuck at home, right?
Basketball legend, and controversial commentator, Charles Barkley is selling lots of memorabilia from his Hall of Fame career. Now usually when people do this, it’s…
