Online Authentics?

Hey, guys. Wondering if anyone has an info or experience with OnlineAuthentics.com? Looking to buy an item with their PHYSICAL COA, and wanted to make sure they are legit. When I look up the COA number, it says "Origin of item: Greg Tucker autographs". Let me know. Thanks.

welcome: A little bit about me

Hello. I'm new here but not new to collecting autographs. My main obsession is split between Stephen King and Heavy Metal. I have every King book in First Edition including 3-4 signed items. I have autographed memorabilia from bands such as Phil Anselmo and the illegals, Hellyeah, Soil, Kill Devil Hill, Doyle, Byzantine, and many others. I look forward to getting to know you all and Merry Christmas!!!!!

Sports Shortz -- The Shoe Edition (Kobe Bryant, Johnny Manziel)

I remember being on the basketball team in 8th grade, when a player on our team told us his dad bought him a pair of $100 Air Jordan sneakers. It blew me away, especially since they were an ugly red and black high-top. I was happy with my $18 Nikes (on sale at Big Five). As a basketball player my entire life, I've never understood the fascination with shoes. Now, I remember…

Ending the year on a good note

I enjoy sharing my experiences with this blog.  Hopefully, if these artists come to your town you will have the same success as me or in some cases, better success!  I managed to attend a few more concerts to end the year and ended up getting 4 out of 5.

First of all, Carl Palmer from ELP and Asia played a solo gig in Akron.  After the show, he headed straight to the merch table to sign and meet fans.  He had a variety of merch available including posters, drum heads, drum sticks and…

The Musicians of Laurel Canyon and the Sunset Strip.

I'd like people who join this little blog to discuss the amazing hippy musicians who convened on a little town called Laurel Canyon, in West Los Angeles, to play their music together. Let's use our words, pictures and autographs to better describe the music, the scene, the decadence, the alliances and the fallouts of the greatest gathering of talented musicians ever to assemble in one place during such a short period of time.

The music movement in Laurel Canyon was also a reaction to…

Star Wars Autographs: Deciding What to Collect

Someone asked me about the most important info for the more advanced autograph collector that has decided to expand their collection to include Star Wars. There is so much to know that I feel that this post may ramble a bit as I put things in as they come to mind. Many of the items I will mention are helpful facts for any type of collector.…

Ebay Seller Gofsu2010 Discusses Stephen Rocchi/GFA

We all know about the thousands of forgeries of Mickey Mantle, Joe DiMaggio, Willie Mays, Ted Williams, etc. "authenticated" by Stephen Rocchi and his Guaranteed Forensic Authenticators (GFA) group.

I already posted a thread similar to this one, but decided to post another one.

Let's once again break down some of the statements made by Ebay seller Gofsu2010 in his auction descriptions in…

Star Wars Autographs: Striking Back at the Dark Side

Collecting Star Wars autographs is possibly the best hobby in this world or any other. But the hobby, just like the films, has a dark side. Forgeries, secretarial signatures, dealers without the proper knowledge and mistakes by authentication companies can give even the best collectors heartaches and nightmares.

With all the hype surrounding the release Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens, and the promise of the remainder of the new trilogy and stand-alone films…

Car Collectables -- The Batmobile Edition

I'm friends with a guy that used to be Jay Leno's mechanic. We all know Leno has an insane car collection, and so does this mechanic. One of his cars is a silver and black Jaguar that Cary Grant owned.

When I went to a party at director James Cameron's place in Malibu -- I had autographs on the mind. Not only did I bring a few DVDs for him to sign (I waited until we had…

New Person to the group

Good day everybody,

I have been a long time collector of autographs. Mostly Disney hero's and old Hockey (I am from Canada). I bought a couple of books by John Lennon and about John yesterday at a thrift shop sale. The two that I wanted where "In his own Write" and "Spaniard in the Works". The others were trade paperbacks on his life. I opened Spaniard and was surprised to see the following autograph. With the assumption that everything is wrong till proven otherwise I would…

A few concerts, a few more autographs

The past 6 weeks or so has been pretty good for concerts in my area and getting autographs from these artists has been just as good.  I haven’t gotten every artist that I tried for, but my percentage is pretty high.  Here’s a synopsis of what I’ve been up to.

Graham Nash opened up a new exhibit at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in October and he was on hand to personally open the exhibit to members the day before it opened to the public.  Before the opening, he played 5 acoustic songs…

Cory Wells of Three Dog Night: Thank you for your music, but not for the autographs.

With the passing on October 20th, 2015, of the very talented and beautiful voice of Cory Wells, the co-lead singer and 1/3rd of Three Dog Night's amazing trio of shared vocals, Pop Music and Rock and Roll lost yet another of its pioneers and hit makers of the 1960's and 1970's.

Though Three Dog Night has for over the last 20+ years actually been a "two dog night" (Danny…

TMZ Cameraman Gets Cool Item from Jon Voight

The show is just a lot of fun. I hate to admit that, because it goes down paths I don't always like. For example, remember how much we all made fun of the National Enquirer back in the day?

Also, people with cameras (video and digital), often make it harder for the autograph collector. Celebs don't want to stop and being asked tabloid questions, or get filmed if they don't look their best, or whatever.

A lot of times on TMZ though, you'll see the stars stopping to sign…

Autograph Thefts: The Star Wars Edition

Since I’ve collected lots of things over the years, I’ve always feared theft. For some reason, I’ve never had that concern regarding my autograph collection. Most of them are stored in boxes, and I doubted anybody would find them or if they did...would care about a bunch of hard-to-read scribbles on index or business cards.

When I…

Steve Earle treats his fans with respect!

I went to see Steve Earle and The Dukes on Sunday 25th October in Dublin's historic Olympia Theatre. As always he put on a wonderful show and at the beginning he said that after the show he would be around to say hello to anyone who wanted to say hi. And true to his word he and the rest of The Dukes appeared after the show in the lobby to take photographs, chat and sign items.

It was well organised and Mr.Earle was charming, thoughful and gave people the time to chat and pose for…

I've Reported an Ebay Seller...Now What ??

In the last couple of days I've sent two notifications  to Ebay about a seller by the name of...king-neil...

The guy is selling a 5x7 black and white photo of Elvis with a screened signature as genuine. Last week he sold one to a guy in Switzerland for 7  hundred dollars. And he's right back this week with the very same picture...very same signature with a buy-it-now price of $444.

I've sent the guy two personal messages through Ebay telling him I know what he's…

Autographs in Recent Movies

Usually I have more interesting things to report from the movies I review, and various autograph scenes. Here are the recent ones.

In the kids movie "Jem and the Holograms" which is based on an '80s cartoon I wasn't even familiar with, a teen girl puts a song on the internet, and becomes a huge success. She's signed to a big label and plays big concerts. So, that means…
