A little over a month ago I sent an email to Ebay about obvious shill bidding.
Of course, Ebay never responded.
This has been going on for months with Ebay seller Stevew6.
Ebay seller Stevew6 is a consistent seller of GFA-certed forgeries.
But along with his selling of GFA-certed and other assorted laughable…

I’ve never understood the fascination with famous folks cars that go for sale. Sure, the John Lennon, psychedelic 1965 Rolls Royce was sweet. I would buy it if I had the means (I said that in my best Ferris Bueller voice).
Another 1965 car, a blue Bentley, was once owned by Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards. He mentions the “acid-fueled journeys” in it in his…

Law Firm of Gardner & Rosenberg P.C. Press Release, Sept. 15, 2015:
New York, NY ‐ A New York arbitrator this week slapped a high end Manhattan auction house with a judgment of more than $600,000 on a claim that it cheated a client out of the sale of two unique Michael Jackson items. The client alleged that Gotta Have Rock and Roll, a rock and roll…

It seems like just yesterday I was writing about Philadelphia 76ers center Darryl Dawkins death. Now comes news that Sixers Hall of Fame center Moses Malone has passed away at the age of 60.
These Philly centers are dying too young. One of my all-time favorite players, Wilt Chamberlain (Yeah, yeah, he’s more known for being a Laker), also passed…

When a newscaster I worked with passed away and I found out he liked Billy Joel, I changed the lyrics from Piano Man to “Anchorman.”
Another classy, wonderful human was taken from us too soon…and I’m back to thinking about Billy Joel lyrics.
Basketball legend Darryl Dawkins had a heart attack at 58, in his hometown of Allentown, Pennsylvania. I immediately…

Summer is winding down and school is about to start but I do have a few autograph stories from the past couple of weeks.
First off, Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, Chris Hillman (Byrds,Desert Rose Band, Flying Burrito Bros.) and Herb Peterson(Flying Burrito Bros, DRB) made a stop at a small local venue. After the show they both sat down at the merch table and signed and talked with fans. I couldn’t find my Byrds album (that Roger McGuinn refused to sign) but I did get him on my HOF…

When I started to write my blog articles, I decided that my posts are going to be personal, interesting and funny stories which happened to me when I met my heroes. This is going to be my last blog post for some time - because it´s the last story which deserves to be written about. It´s going to be last one till the moment when something new and extraordinary will happen in future. First post was about Deep Purple... and this one is going to be about this band too - because it´s the best…

I was talking to an old DJ I once worked with in the ‘90s. Rock and Roll Peg was not only the highest rated DJ in San Diego, she was a sweetheart. She knew I liked collecting autographs, and as the newest and youngest guy at the station, she was often hooking me up.
She interviewed the band Living Colour – got me a signed CD. Backstage at Joe Walsh, she got me a personalized signature. The amount of times she got things signed for me was endless.
I recently told…

As a hardcore racquetball player, and lover of music memorabilia, I was interested in the item that recently sold at an Elvis Presley auction. It was a red, white, and blue shirt Elvis wore when he played racquetball. Many don’t realize he was a huge racquetball fan, and even had courts installed in Graceland (they now serve as the “trophy room”). There was even a time he…

This has definitely been the summer for concerts for me. Between my gig as a concert reviewer/photographer and attending some shows for below face value (thanks to craigslist!) or free (thanks to friends) I’ve been to 17 shows since June.
At the end of July, Graham Nash played a solo show at the Hard Rock. He was accompanied by a great guitarist. I…

Queen have been one of my favourite groups since my childhood - all huge sport events, every hockey championship have been accompanied by their two classics - We Will Rock You and We Are The Champions. I became much more interested in Queen in late 90s or early 00s when I got into the contact with couple of friends who were members of Czech Queen fanclub or huge fans of them. Still - at the beginning of my "fanship" Queen were "dead" band - not active. They released and re-released and…

I am only 32 years old, however I have always felt more akin to the music of the 60's and 70's. While I love classic rock and the debate of who "is" the greatest bands from the UK and USA. There has always been for me two bands that stick out above the rest. The Beatles from the UK and The Beach Boys from the USA. Rolling Stones list the two greatest albums : Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band and Pet Sounds.
Pet Sounds is one of the most brilliant albums ever created and was (in…

It was difficult to decide about the band which I want to write in 3rd episode of my blog. There were two options – presumably very long article about Queen+…. or slightly shorter one about different band. Finally I made a decision - it won't be about Queen+ - but they will follow soon, I promise!
Hardrock triumvirate? Three founders of hardrock and heavymetal? European and American taste is slightly different here (because I know that especially Deep Purple are much bigger band in…

The last few years I’ve skipped the popular Comic Con, which is held right in my backyard of San Diego. The event is rather crowded and I just feel like I’ve seen it all at this point.
Each previous year I’ve gone, though…it’s autograph moments that I have the most fun with. Running into somebody like Stan Lee, Matt Groening, or author Ray Bradbury – all of them good…

Pink Floyd.... I have never had a chance to see them - I was schoolchild at the time of their only show in my country, but I became their fan because of my dad who played their albums at home regularly - and during the period of time Dark Side, Wish and Wall became my favourites, but I never became a fan of early Barrett years. I'm not strictly Waters / Gilmour defined fan, I think that High Hopes, Learning To Fly or Sorrow are stunning tracks - so I admire almost whole career of…

At first - please be tolerant to my weaker English - it is not my native language, therefore I am going to make mistakes, but I hope that all is going to be understandable for everyone. :)
Let's start from the very beginning.... I'm mainly fan of rock music (mainly 60s / 70s) and as person born in mid 80s living in central European country where communism finally ended in 1989 - there is still enormous hunger for rock concerts and that's why rock legends are still enormously…

The Tour de France concluded the other day. I know nothing about the guy that won. I stopped carrying about bike races after Ricky Potter beat me in a race in 4th grade. I do regret all those great baseball cards I ruined attaching them to the spokes, too (but damn did it make a great sound).
This blog isn’t about that, but an event Lance Armstrong took part…

If you’re not a baseball fan but an autograph collector, you have to at least appreciate getting a baseball signed on the sweet spot. That white background, and a ballpoint pen signature…while you smell hot dogs in the background.
The two baseballs I regret not buying are Mickey Mantle and Willie Mays. At a baseball card show, a guy was selling a Mantle ball for $125. I…
