I'm a huge Black Crowes fan (I wrote about them, and White Stripes, in a column years ago).
Crowes singer Chris Robinson is a tough autograph to get. He'll sign, but just a few as he's walking by.
One time, his pregnant wife -- actress Kate Hudson -- was at the show. Now, I was once standing next to Kevin Bacon's actress wife at a concert (can't think of her name at the moment). She was dancing the night away.
Hudson wasn't dancing, and I thought…

It's always nice when a pro athlete goes above and beyond for the autograph seekers.
Two-time NL Cy Young Award winner Tim Lincecum didn't just reach over the dugout to sign baseballs and other items for fans before a Giants came a few weeks ago. He stood on a trash can to do it.
Usually players in the dugout that do sign autographs, have the items handed to them from a security guard. Lincecum, though, decided to take matters into his own…

I am at a thought crossing in my autograph collection: to sellor not to sell. Let me explain.
I love collecting autographs and always will. However, collecting has been a huge expense for me over the last several years. With so many fantastic autograph conventions across the country, in store signings, artists appeareing at so many local clubs, there has been a rebirth of my collecting. In other words, these last 5 or so years have been more fruitful and successful, than the…

My mother sat across the aisle from Richard Nixon on a PAN AM flight just a year or so after he left the presidency. He autographed one of my business envelopes with his signature only. I can provide a pic if interested. Any reasonable offer over $50.00 will be accepted.

I was very pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed Scott Pilgrim. It's not for everyone, and I'm guessing older folks won't appreciate all the video game ref. in the film.
In one scene, Michael Cera is on the set of a movie being filmed and is in awe of the former pro skateboarder turned A-list movie star (with the last name "Lee"...making me think of Jason Lee).
This guy ends up coming up to Cera, who is talking on the set. Just as Cera is asking for his…

I was never able to meet actress Patricia Neal, but I did mail off some of my photos to her just a couple months ago for her to autograph for me. She did indeed sign some great pics I sent to her from The Day the Earth Stood Still and The Fountainhead!
I will post those hand signed photos she sent back to me in my SASE, here soon. She was a wonderful actress.
Here is a link to her Obit.…

Hi Everyone,
I was just looking for some opinions on the picture and I have made a scan of the pictures together so you can see them both at the same time.
Now one picture has been graded by PSA/DNA and the other picture was one I have and I had mailed it to them to be graded only because I had seen several others like the one graded that looked almost identical to mine.
So I get mine back and they call it a secretarial and I do trust PSA/DNA and…

A pretty funny and interesting documentary out right now. It's about a guy (John Rebney) that made some Winnebago commercials/instructional videos, and the outtakes became a huge internet sensation.
This because he was fond of getting mad and cursing. It was summer, and 100 degrees in Iowa, where the filming took place.
Anyway, at a film festival, he is asked to take pictures and sign autographs. But what is funny is, his best friend is driving him there, since…

I cried BS the first time I heard this on the news two days ago.
A guy was at a garage sale, and paid $40 for "glass slides" that he thought were great photos of Yosemite.
He thought they looked like the work of Ansel Adams, so he hired an attorney to "investigate." That lawyer came back saying the experts claimed they were Adams photos.
Immediately, people were saying these "unreleased photos" would be worth $200 million.
I knew it was…

In the Sunday morning paper (Parade section), they had an interview with Zac Efron.
Now, these are interviews I usually skip. I don't care about these young actors talking about Twilight or High School Musical, or getting slimed on Nickelodian.
But I got done playing racquetball, and it was the only section of the paper I hadn't read. The story was about his top 15 things to do in the summer.
He
